Zamalek fullback Abdallah Gomaa scored in his own net to add the third in injury time.

This elimination highlighted Zamalek catastrophic season that saw the club exit the Egypt Cup and the CAF Champions League from its group stage.

Zamalek, who won the last two editions of the Egyptian league, lie fifth in the league table with 33 points, 11 points behind leaders Ahly who still have two matches in hand.

The club is yet to name a successor of sacked coach Jesualdo Ferreira who was shown the door Tuesday.
