Liverpool star Mohamed Salah's Egyptian villa burgled

The villa in New Cairo’s First Settlement belonging to Egyptian Liverpool footballer Mohamed Salah was burgled and several devices were reported missing, a security statement said on Sunday.

The Egyptian Public Prosecution is working on uncovering information behind the circumstances of the theft, the statement said.

One of Salah’s relatives alerted the police of the incident, stating he noticed an open window and a mess in one of the villa's rooms while stopping by.

He also reported that several items, including TV receivers, were missing.

The police are currently interviewing witnesses and the security responsible for the property's protection. They are also reviewing surveillance footage around the house.

Currently, there has been no comment from the 30-year-old football star, widely known as Mo Salah, and no further details have been provided.
