Speaking at the event, Chairman of the EAC Ahmed Mansour underscored the strategic and economic importance of Sphinx International Airport.

Mansour added that the company is looking forward to promoting cooperation and partnership in the period to come.

German Condor said that this airport is the most appropriate as it is very close to the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, especially with the opening of a number of new roads in Egypt. It is also the best and the closest to downtown Cairo.

The Condor airline’s main operations center is located at Frankfurt International Airport.

It operates 34 weekly flights to Hurghada only, in addition to flights to Marsa Alam and Sharm El-Sheikh.

German Condor is the second airline to announce operating from this new airport, after Air Cairo.

Sphinx International Airport has been flying domestic and international flights since the beginning of November.
