Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat
In a statement on Saturday, the ministry said the scholarship includes several training programs related to technological infrastructure and IT, like artificial intelligence, cloud computing operations, advanced programming and database management.
The agreement with Microsoft falls within the framework of the ministry's strategy for digitising all aspects of Egyptian society, read the statement.
The scholarship is meant to spread knowledge about digitalisation by launching several training platforms and virtual classes for trainees to attain competency at the practical and theoretical level.
The trainees will receive certificates at the end of their training.
Young people's ability to deal with up-to-date technology will qualify them to join local and international labour markets, the statement added.
